Getting started & the basics
What Kyndle is, who it's for, and how you get up and running.
What is Kyndle?+
Kyndle is an all-in-one operating system for retail businesses. Point of sale, inventory, purchasing, quotations, B2B invoicing, built-in accounting, customers and AI insights live in one place — so you enter data once and everything else stays in sync.
What kind of businesses is it built for?+
Product retailers of every kind — from fragrance, fashion and beauty to flowers & gifts, food & FMCG and general shops. Anything you sell by variant (sizes, colours, concentrations or pack sizes) Kyndle is designed around, and it works well for single shops, multi-branch chains and light wholesale alike.
How long does it take to set up?+
Most shops are selling on the same day. You create your business, add products (or import them), set your tax and currency, and you're ready. The counter, inventory and books all switch on together — there's nothing separate to wire up.
Can I import my existing products and stock?+
Yes. You can add products manually or bring them in bulk, with opening stock counts per variant so your inventory value and accounts start from the correct position on day one.
Do I need to install anything, and what devices work?+
Nothing to install. Kyndle runs in the browser on a laptop, desktop or tablet at the counter, and it's installable as an app on the home screen. A barcode scanner and receipt printer are optional, not required.
Does it work if my internet drops?+
Kyndle is a cloud system, so a live connection is recommended for selling and syncing. Because everything is hosted and backed up centrally, you can pick up from any device the moment you're back online — nothing lives only on one machine.
Can I try it before committing?+
Yes — request a demo and we'll walk you through your exact workflow, from a sale at the counter to the VAT figure it produces. Reach us any time on WhatsApp or through the contact page.
Is there onboarding help and training?+
Yes. We help you get your products, branches and team set up, and we're available to answer questions as you go. The interface is intentionally simple, so staff are usually comfortable after a short walkthrough.
Can I use my own currency and tax rate?+
Currency and tax are configurable. AED and 5% UAE VAT are ready out of the box, and you can adjust them to suit your market.
What happens to my data if I stop using Kyndle?+
Your data is yours. Reports and records export to CSV at any time, so you can take your sales, inventory and accounting history with you whenever you need it.
Industries & fit
The retail trades Kyndle is built for, and how it adapts to yours.
Which industries is Kyndle built for?+
Product retail of all kinds. Out of the box it's tuned for six trades — Fragrance & Perfume; Fashion, Apparel & Luxury; Beauty & Personal Care; Flowers & Gifts; Food, Beverage & FMCG; and General Retail — and it suits most shops that sell physical goods.
I don't see my exact trade — can I still use Kyndle?+
Yes. Choose General Retail and you get the full toolset with neutral labels. If you sell products at a counter or online, Kyndle fits — the six trades are starting points, not limits.
What actually changes when I pick an industry?+
The flavour, not the plumbing. Your dashboard emphasis, on-screen labels (for example 'Items' versus 'Products') and starter categories match your trade from day one. The underlying tools are the same proven retail suite.
Do different industries get different features?+
No — every retail vertical gets the same core suite: POS, inventory, purchasing, customers, accounting & VAT, invoices and reports. Your plan sets what's included, and a few extras (like multi-branch or integrations) can be switched on per business.
Can I change my industry later?+
Yes. Your industry isn't a lock-in — it can be changed any time, and because it only affects labels, dashboard and starter categories, your products, sales and books are never disrupted.
Is Kyndle still first-class for fragrance and perfume?+
Completely. Kyndle began in fragrance, so variant-level stock (100ml versus 50ml), oud and attar catalogues and perfume retail are first-class — now alongside every other retail trade.
I sell products plus the occasional service — is that supported?+
Yes. Service and non-stock lines sit on the same sale, quote or invoice as products — handy for gift wrapping, alterations, engraving, delivery or styling fees.
Does it work for wholesale and B2B, not just the shop floor?+
Yes. Alongside the POS you get branded quotations, A4 tax invoices with your TRN and bank details, and part-payment tracking — so B2B and trade customers are handled properly.
Can I run more than one shop or brand?+
Yes. Track multiple branches of one business with per-branch stock and transfers, each teammate on their own role. Genuinely separate companies are set up as their own workspaces.
Point of sale, quotations & invoicing
Selling at the counter, winning business with quotes, and getting paid.
How fast is checkout at a busy counter?+
Fast. Search by name or SKU, scan a barcode, or tap a product to add it to the cart, attach a customer, take payment and print a receipt in seconds. Stock, revenue and customer history update the instant you sell.
Can I scan barcodes at the till?+
Yes. Every variant can carry its own barcode, so scanning drops the exact size and price into the cart with no manual lookup.
Which payment methods can I take?+
Cash and card are supported at the point of sale, and each payment posts to your accounts automatically. For business customers, you can also record part-payments against an invoice over time.
Can I apply discounts on a sale?+
Yes, you can apply a discount to a sale before taking payment. Cost and profit stay tracked behind the scenes, and they're hidden from staff roles that shouldn't see margin.
Can I print or email receipts?+
Yes — print a receipt at the counter or share it digitally. Invoices and quotes can be produced as clean A4 PDFs with your logo.
How are returns and refunds handled?+
Returns are recorded properly rather than deleted, so stock comes back, the customer's history reflects it, and a balanced journal is posted to your accounts. Your numbers stay honest and auditable.
Can I build and send professional quotations?+
Yes. Build a quote from a template gallery, mix inventory, non-inventory and service lines on the same document, add your logo and colours, and send a polished PDF.
What happens when a quote is accepted?+
Convert it to a real sale in one click — no re-keying and no double counting. Stock, revenue and the customer record all update from the same action.
Can I issue B2B tax invoices?+
Yes. Issue A4 tax invoices with your logo, TRN and bank details for customers who pay by transfer or on terms. Every invoice payment posts to your books automatically.
How do I track who still owes me money?+
Each invoice moves from unpaid to partly paid to paid as you record payments, with a live outstanding balance. You always know your receivables at a glance.
Inventory, products & purchasing
Stock you can trust, and buying the right amount at the right time.
Does Kyndle handle variants like sizes, colours and volumes?+
Yes. Inventory and pricing work at the variant level, so each size, colour or volume has its own SKU, barcode, price and stock count — while sharing one product record. It works for clothing sizes, perfume volumes, pack sizes and more.
Can each variant have its own barcode and price?+
Yes. Every variant carries its own SKU, barcode, selling price and stock, so a size M and a size L of the same shirt — or a 100ml and 50ml of the same perfume — are tracked and priced independently.
How accurate is my stock?+
Inventory sits on an immutable ledger — every sale, return, purchase and transfer is traced, never quietly overwritten. The number on screen matches the shelf, so you never oversell tracked stock.
Will it warn me before I run out?+
Yes. Low-stock alerts flag items before they run dry, and dead-stock alerts surface what isn't moving so cash isn't tied up on the shelf.
Can it tell me what to reorder?+
Smart reordering looks at your sales and stock and tells you what to buy and how much, so purchasing is based on real demand rather than guesswork.
Can I raise purchase orders and receive goods?+
Yes. Raise a purchase order to a supplier, then receive goods against it. Received quantities flow straight into your stock counts.
Does receiving stock keep my costs correct?+
Yes. Receiving updates each item's average cost, so your profit and inventory valuation stay accurate as buying prices change over time.
Can I track stock across multiple branches?+
Absolutely. Stock and sales are tracked per branch, and you can transfer stock between locations with a full audit trail on both sides.
Can I sell services or non-stock items?+
Yes. Inventory, non-inventory and service lines can appear together on the same sale, quote or invoice — useful for gift wrapping, engraving, delivery or consultation fees.
Can I do stock counts and adjustments?+
Yes, and because every movement is recorded on the ledger, adjustments are transparent and auditable rather than silent overwrites.
Accounting, VAT, customers & reports
Books that keep themselves, insight you can act on, and data that stays private.
Does Kyndle really include accounting?+
Yes. Every sale, payment, purchase, expense and refund posts a balanced double-entry journal automatically. There's no separate accounting app to reconcile with — your books are a by-product of running the shop.
Does it support UAE VAT and AED?+
Tax and currency are fully configurable, with AED and 5% VAT ready out of the box. Output and input VAT are organised so your position is always current. Note: Kyndle is not FTA-certified and does not submit returns for you — it prepares the figures, you or your accountant file them.
Are my Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet always up to date?+
Yes. Because journals post as you trade, your P&L, Balance Sheet and VAT position are current in real time — there's no month-end lag before you can see how the business is doing.
What does the Customer 360 view show?+
Open any customer for total spend, average order, favourite products, outstanding balance and a timeline of every sale, payment and note — everything you need to bring the right people back.
Does it group my customers automatically?+
Yes. Customers are sorted into segments like New, Regular, VIP and At-risk automatically, and there's a lightweight lead → opportunity → quote → sale pipeline to manage bigger deals.
What reports do I get, and can I export them?+
Ready-made reports cover sales, margin, product performance and dead stock, and every report exports to CSV in a click for your accountant or your own analysis.
What is Kyndle AI and what can it do?+
Kyndle AI answers questions about your business in plain language and surfaces automatic insights about what needs attention. It's grounded strictly in your own data — it never invents a figure, and if it can't answer, it says so.
Can I control what my staff can see and do?+
Yes. Every teammate gets a role — from owner to sales staff — so people only see what they should. Sensitive figures like cost and profit are hidden from staff roles.
How many team members can I add?+
Add as many as your plan allows, each with their own role and login, so responsibility and visibility are matched to the person.
Is my data secure and private?+
Every business is fully isolated at the database level with row-level security, so no one can ever see another business's data. Your records are hosted and backed up centrally, and sensitive figures stay restricted by role.
